God’s Counsel and Prayer

The classis of Grand Rapids West, having deposed Rev. H. Danhof and me, appointed a committee to con­fer with my three elders. An attempt was to be made to persuade these men to remain with the church. The meeting was held and prolonged far into the night, yea, until two o'clock the following morning.
