Encouraging the Next Generation to Read (1): An Introduction to the Subject
Rev. Brian Huizinga uses a creative banqueting table metaphor to illustrate different levels of engagement with spiritually-edifying literature, drawing from Jeremiah's example of consuming God's Word. The article exhorts Protestant Reformed readers, particularly the next generation, to move beyond passive ownership of good books toward active, devoted engagement with sound theological and spiritual reading as a means of spiritual growth and sanctification.
