This article examines whether Hagar, Abraham's concubine and mother of Ishmael, was saved, presenting five biblical arguments from Genesis in support of her salvation through God's sovereign grace in Christ. The author argues from Abraham's household faithfulness, Hagar's encounters with the angel of the Lord, and other Old Testament evidence to establish her status as a believer and child of God. The piece exemplifies Reformed exegetical method applied to questions of Old Testament figures' spiritual condition.
Was Hagar Saved? Was Hagar, the wife or concubine of Abraham and the mother of Ishmael, saved?
