In this graduation address, Barry Gritters defends the Reformed practice of maintaining confessional standards while remaining faithful to the Protestant principle of sola scriptura. He argues that creeds are not contrary to Scripture but rather protect the church from doctrinal drift, while warning against the dangers of dead orthodoxy and the false dichotomy of "no creed but Christ."
