6. Its Exemplification Election and reprobation are plainly evident throughout the Old Testament. In the case of Abraham, who is the father of all them that believe, before God called him out of Ur, he was of an idolatrous stock which worshiped false gods. There in that heathen environment "the God of glory appeared unto our father, Abraham," but not to the other citizens of that city. The Lord reminds us, "I called him alone, and blessed him." 6.
