Lesser-Known Reformers: Theodore Beza (1519–1605)
Of all the reformers we are study- ing this year, only Theodore Beza lived into the seventeenth century (1600s). Pierre Viret died in 1571 and Heinrich Bullinger in 1575, while Beza lived thirty years longer. We can call the reformers who were born in the late 1400s the “first generation” of reformers.
