Footwear of the Gospel

“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” (Eph. 6:15)  Have you ever tried to play basketball with soccer cleats on? Or go for a long hike wearing flip-flops? No matter how well you have trained for these activities, the wrong footwear can render all of that training useless. Footwear is important! If you are going to war where the footing will be treacherous, where the ground may be either dry or slick, flat or steep, bare or thorny, what you have on your feet matters....
