Hoeksema argues that Matthew 22:1-14 refutes the doctrine of a general, well-meant offer of grace, demonstrating instead that God's call goes to all but His grace is given only to the elect. Through careful exegesis of the parable's conclusion—"many are called, but few are chosen"—he defends the particular nature of God's redemptive purpose against the well-meant offer position.
