This article provides an exegetical and devotional meditation on Ecclesiastes 7:27-29, in which Solomon takes a spiritual inventory of his life and experiences. Through careful analysis of Solomon's reflection on the limits of human wisdom, the reality of sin, and God's sovereign providence, Miersma calls readers to conduct their own spiritual accounting and recognize the vanity of earthly pursuits apart from God's design.
