This article examines the biblical and Reformed theological basis for the laying on of hands in elder ordination ceremonies, drawing on New Testament examples and the PRC Church Order. Kuiper analyzes scriptural passages regarding ordination practices and clarifies the proper elements that should accompany the installation of elders in Protestant Reformed churches.
