The Squirrels A squirrel jumped from branch to branch. Another squirrel chattered from below and climbed a tree to chase the intruding squirrel away. Bushy tails swished. Both squirrels scurried high in the branches now, first one heading the chase, and then the other. Then it stopped. One of the squirrels was gone. Silent wings, twice as long as a squirrel, sliced through the air where the branches were few, where the second squirrel had just landed. The claws of an owl held his next meal....
