Just how important is meekness in the estimation of God? The Apostle Peter, who wrote by the inspiration of the Spirit, declared it to be a grace of the highest order. He says of the “ornament of a meek and quiet spirit’’ that it is “in the sight of God of great price” (I Pet. 3:4). And the Apostle Paul puts equal emphasis on this particular fruit of the Spirit.
