Our Church Order (Article 2)

This article speaks of four distinct offices: that of the ministers of the Word; of the Professors of The­ology, of the Elders and of the Deacons. Scripture, such is the Reformed conviction, speaks of but three. Article 18 of the Confession sets out: "We believe that the ministers of God's Word, and the elders and dea­cons, ought to be chosen . . . ." Is the Church Order in error on this point?
