In our last article, we tried to show how worldly music has made its way into the church. We found that there were not only corrupt texts, but also corrupt tunes. Most of these can be attributed to the Arminian so-called “Evangelistic” movement of the late nineteenth century. This, in turn, gave rise to the “fundamentalism” of today from which comes most of the musical trash. In examining this problem in our own circles, let us determine where music is used.
