“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” (Luke 22:31-32) James 5:16 says, “The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This is a good thing, too, because we have access to the one true righteous man, Jesus Christ, and He, similar to praying, intercedes and cares for us just as He did for Peter.
