David’s Praise of the Lord Among the Heathen
In grateful awareness that in warfare with the heathen his victories were the Lord's, David vowed that he would give thanks unto the Lord among the heathen. The lines read: Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, And I will sing praises unto thy name. An identical sentiment receives expression in Ps. 96.
