The Winter is Past
The frozen turf is softened by the sun And gentle rains descend; A lighter, warmer breeze has now begun To signal winter’s end. The snowdrop and the crocus start to poke Green sprouts above the earth; The fine mist vanishes like wispy smoke— The world speaks of rebirth. I praise the Lord for beauty of the Spring When hope is born anew. He makes my very soul with rapture sing, His light is breaking through.
