Strength of Youth

"I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one." I John 2:14 This part of I John is controversial among biblical commentators. Much ink has been spilled to show that with this word the apostle beloved of the Lord distinguishes a segment of the congregation: young men. These young men are singled out as a group.
