“All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient” (I Cor. 6:12). By “all things” Paul certainly does not mean all things absolutely, without exception. For from the preceding context we learn plainly that idolatry, coveting, drunkenness and extortion are unlawful, thoroughly condemned.
