This article begins a series on salvation by grace alone, addressing the common theological error of conditioning salvation on human merit or belief. Laning provides a pedagogical framework for teaching children and others the biblical doctrine of unconditional grace through careful exegesis of key Scripture passages, starting with the principle that fallen man does not naturally seek God. The series aims to equip readers to understand and defend the Reformed doctrine of grace against prevalent false teachings about human cooperation in salvation.

Beginning with this article, I intend to start a new series on the subject of salvation by grace alone.
