This article examines humanity's physical dependence on oxygen and the various circumstances that can disrupt our ability to breathe, using these biological realities as an analogy for spiritual dependence on God's life-giving Spirit. Through exploring common respiratory illnesses and conditions, the author helps readers appreciate God's providential care and sustenance in all circumstances of life, drawing parallels between physical and spiritual breathing.
