Den Hartog explores how Christian homes, while providing a sheltered environment for nurturing children in holiness, must ultimately prepare them to live as witnesses and servants in the world and within the church community. The article emphasizes that covenant children should be trained to exercise love toward neighbors, serve fellow saints in the communion of the church, and use their God-given gifts for the edification of others rather than for self-centered isolation.
