Upon This Rock (12): Robbing Christ of His Honor (4)
This article explores how Old Testament ceremonial practices and divine provisions (exemplified by God clothing Adam and Eve with animal skins in Genesis 3:21) functioned as picture prophecies pointing to Christ and His atoning work. Doezema argues that these Old Testament types were meant to be understood by believers as gospel truths that ultimately honor Christ, and that misunderstanding or misapplying such types amounts to robbing Christ of His proper honor.
