THE FATHER'S LOVE FOR THE SON-SHEPHERD(John 10:17, 18) Jesus is the good Shepherd of the sheep which the Father gave Him as His own. He is not an hireling whose own the sheep are not. The sheep are his peculiar possession. He loves all the sheep, both of the Old Testament dispensation and of the New Testament in his blood, with a love which causes him to lay down his life for them.
