For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. —Matthew 18:20

This is the Church is a collection of stories told by siblings Drew and Annie. Through the eyes of these two little children, readers will learn about different aspects of everyday life in a Bible-believing, God-fearing church family.

Each story serves to help God’s people, young and old, answer the question: What is the church?

After all, the church is not just a building. It’s the family of God! And when God’s family is gathered in his name, he is always there with us.

This book is intended for children ages 5–8, but its content may be enjoyed by families of all ages.

Joyce Holstege teaches kindergarten at Heritage Christian School, located in her hometown of Hudsonville, Michigan. She has taught at Heritage since 1995. Joyce holds a BA in English and Education from Grand Valley State University. She enjoys reading, gardening, and all things arts and crafts.

Meagan Krosschell lives in Randolph, Wisconsin. She earned a degree in graphic design from Madison College and enjoys drawing, listening to audiobooks, and spending time outdoors.
