Joy Unspeakable
In chapter 1:8 of Peter’s first epistle, Peter describes the Gentile Christians to whom he writes as those who “rejoice with joy unspeakable.” However, when we take a step back and look at the context, we might wonder how that could be. In the preceding verses we read that these were “scattered strangers” who were going through temptation, suffering, and persecution.
