Dear Editor, I am concerned that Nathan Brummel fails to grasp the significance of the vague language that he used in his article “What Must You Do To Be Saved?” (Oct. 1994 Beacon Lights). I had thought that upon reflection he would see that his explana­tion of Acts 16:30ff not only leaves open the possi­bility of an Arminian interpretation. Because of the lack of clear, precise explanation of the doctrines of sovereign grace, such an interpretation can hardly be avoided. Perhaps I failed...
