Dear Editor, I am concerned that Nathan Brummel fails to grasp the significance of the vague language that he used in his article “What Must You Do To Be Saved?” (Oct. 1994 Beacon Lights). I had thought that upon reflection he would see that his explanation of Acts 16:30ff not only leaves open the possibility of an Arminian interpretation. Because of the lack of clear, precise explanation of the doctrines of sovereign grace, such an interpretation can hardly be avoided. Perhaps I failed...
