. . that ye may be Sincere . . .” Christian and Hopeful had come to the Delectable Mountains (Isa. 49:9-11), which belong to the Lord of that hill mentioned before. These mountains are Immanuel’s Land, and are within sight of His city. Our two pilgrims were welcomed by four mountain shepherds, three of whom we’ve already met.
