Vicious Vengeance
As we suggested last time, the servants in the king's gate of Ahasuerus' palace were some kind of court to settle relatively minor matters. In Ruth 4:1 we read of Boaz going to the gate of the city and sitting down there in order to legalize the transaction of transferring the right of the nearest of kin to him, for buying the land of Elimelech, and for marrying Ruth.
