This article from Don Doezema's series examines the disciples' question about the restoration of the kingdom to Israel in Acts 1, arguing that despite their spiritual instruction from the risen Christ, they still harbored misconceptions about an earthly, political kingdom. Doezema explores how the disciples gradually abandoned their carnal expectations while learning to understand Christ's heavenly, spiritual kingship in light of Old Testament types and New Testament fulfillment.
