Camp Livingston, LA December 7, 1941 Dear. I’m sorry that I waited so long to answer your letter but I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to spend all of my time in answering correspondence. You know the first six months that 1 was here I spent every night until midnight writing letters. I’ve found that it really is foolish for me to try and return an answer to every letter.
