Immortality

The reason for this necessity is to be found, on the one hand, in the purpose of God that His own are to inherit the kingdom of God; and, on the other hand, in the fact that we are, in our present state, flesh and blood, and that, too, corrupt flesh and blood, in the midst of death. And flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God....
