The Emergent Church Movement – A Brief Introduction and Critique (1)

The time has come to say a few things about the Emergent Church movement. Perhaps to some of our readers the name itself means nothing. To those in the Grand Rapids area, all I would have to mention is the names Mars Hill and Rob Bell, and they would have some notion of what I was referring to. The Mars Hill Bible Church complex is but four blocks from my own church in Grandville, and has become the mega-church with the greatest name recognition in this metropolitan area (though "mega-church"...
