In August of the year 1938, the home missionary of the Protestant Reformed Churches, who was at that time Rev. Kok, came to Manhattan. Most of us were not acquainted with the decisions of the Synod of 1924, therefore we were not in the position to know the reason of his coming. But this soon became evident.
