Dangerous Familiarity
The seraphim cover their faces with their wings in the presence of God. Isaiah saw them do this in his vision recorded in Isaiah 6:1-3. Each seraph had three sets of wings. With two wings they covered their faces. With two they covered their feet. And with two they did fly. At the same time they cried to one another, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory." What a striking picture! The seraphim cover their faces with their wings in the presence of God....
