Craig Ferguson reviews David J. Engelsma's critical examination of Abraham Kuyper's common grace theory and the contemporary movement to "Christianize the world." Engelsma argues that Kuyper's doctrine represents a comprehensive worldview with far-reaching implications for the church, challenging the widespread but often poorly understood conviction that cultural transformation is the church's mandate. This review will interest readers concerned with defending Reformed theology against what the author views as a fundamental departure from confessional principles.
