This report documents the proceedings of Classis East of the Protestant Reformed Churches from September-October 2014, focusing on a dispute regarding the authority to change the date of the annual Prayer Day service. The classis ultimately upheld protests against its May 2014 decision, rescinding the requirement that such changes must be made through overture to broader assemblies, based on an interpretation of Article 67 of the Church Order.
