Knowledge that Leads to Trust

Trust in God begins with knowledge of God and who he is. We need to know the extent and wonder of God’s power. Many of the psalms reference God’s power over his creation; for instance, in Psalm 147:8 we read, “Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.” Isaiah 54:5–7 and all of Psalm 104 display God’s sovereignty over his creation.   God’s power as creator and upholder is important to remember because it establishes him as...
