Brian Crossett argues against the Baptist interpretation that Acts 8:38 demonstrates immersion baptism by examining the grammatical structure of the passage and the logical implications of the narrative. Through dialogue with a Baptist interlocutor, he demonstrates that the text does not require a dual immersion interpretation and that the baptism occurred after—not during—the descent into the water.
