This article, the third installment of an address by Ronald Cammenga at the Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary, explores the ministerial calling regarding marriage, particularly the biblical requirement that a minister be "the husband of one wife" (1 Timothy 3:2). Cammenga examines both negative prohibitions (tyranny, adultery, divorce and remarriage) and positive requirements (faithfulness, devotion) that define a minister's covenant obligation to his wife, applying scriptural standards to pastoral qualifications.
