“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 The figure that is used here suggests a dense, black darkness, a path through the darkness that leads to heaven, a lamp or a lantern, and a person who is walking in the light of the lantern to his eternal Home. Remember that this is a confession; a confes­sion made, let me say, particularly by you young people.
