Apologists: Irenaeus and Tertullian
The apologists were early church fathers who defended Christian doctrine against the teachings of Judaism and paganism. The last article examined Justin Martyr. This article focuses on Irenaeus and Tertullian. Other apologists whom we have no time to examine include Clement of Alexandria and Cyprian.
