Prosperity and the Wicked (1)
The wicked do prosper. In the words of the Psalmist there are no bands in their death. Their strength is firm. They are not in trouble like other men; neither are they plagued with other men. The (reprobate) wicked do receive rain and sunshine. And the ground of the ungodly brings forth bountifully. The storehouses of the rich fool in the parable were unable to accommodate the harvest. The fool was compelled to enlarge his barns. There is a prosperity of the wicked. We see it before our eyes....
