This article examines the life and ministry of Tychicus, a faithful companion and coworker of the apostle Paul, using biblical chronology and textual analysis to understand his significant contributions to early church missions. Through studying Tychicus's travels and responsibilities, the author illustrates how God equipped "behind-the-scenes" workers to support the spread of the gospel throughout the Roman Empire. As was stated in a previous article (Dec. 1, 2019), the effectiveness of the apostle Paul was aided by a network of individuals who were a support to him in the spread of the gospel.
