MHH: So on short notice, you headed for Guam. VH: Right. MHH: And he did have a job? VH: He did have a job. He was the superintendent of the workshop for handicapped adults. We were there for five years. Rev. Wade died of his cancer during the time that we were there. During the time we were on Guam, we went through another big typhoon. In fact, the Chicago paper’s headline the next morning was, “Guam is Gone!” A very lush and beautiful island was flattened. No coconut trees, no anything....
