This exegetical article examines Jeremiah's prophecy regarding submission to Nebuchadnezzar, exploring how God sovereignly used the Babylonian king to accomplish His purposes despite the resistance of false prophets and unfaithful leadership in Judah. Through careful analysis of Jeremiah 27-29, Doezema illustrates God's providential governance in exile and the importance of heeding the true word of the Lord over popular but false prophecies of deliverance.
