This article provides a Reformed exegetical meditation on Ecclesiastes 6:1-2, exploring Solomon's observation of the evil experienced by the wicked man who accumulates riches yet cannot enjoy them. Miersma interprets this passage as demonstrating both the fruit of human sin and God's temporal judgment upon the fallen, unregenerate condition, emphasizing how divine providence works out the curse of sin in the lives of men.
