The article argues that while Nahum's message of God's wrath may seem remote to comfortable Christians today, it becomes profoundly relevant in times of genuine trouble, encouraging believers to trust in God alone as their ultimate refuge.

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.  Nahum 1:7 It sometimes seems that prophecies such as Nahum's are remote and without application to Christians today.
