In the Canadian West
Vancouver, British Columbia, with its adjoining cities and suburbs, is the great metropolis of Canada’s far west. This great city is set like a jewel amid the bays of the Pacific and the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. It is a great, a beautiful city, but, like our own American cities, the wickedness of our age is present everywhere. It was the evening of Christmas day, and through a dense fog, so common to these harbor cities, we picked our way to the home of an immigrant family...
