This article argues for the regulative principle of worship, specifically advocating that the Book of Psalms should be the exclusive source of sung praise in corporate worship based on the sufficiency of Scripture. Whyte grounds his position in biblical prohibitions against adding to God's Word, contending that human-composed hymns represent unauthorized innovations in worship.
